The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa overlooks the infamous 17th Road Hole of the Old Course and is only a short stroll from the heart of the town of St Andrews. Only one hour’s drive from Edinburgh and one and a half hours from Glasgow, the resort makes an excellent base for touring the Kingdom of Fife, Perthshire and the Highlands.

Just off the A91, immediately adjacent to the St Andrews Links courses and a five-minute walk from the heart of the town. The A91 joins with the national motorway network at Junction 8 of the M90, which runs from Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh, one hour to the south to the old market town of Perth in the north. Glasgow is 90 minutes away, via the M90 and M8.
Guests arrive at Leuchars Railway Station four miles away, which connects with Edinburgh and the national network. Regular services to London and all mainland UK station and to the rest of Europe by Eurostar and the Channel Tunnel.
St Andrews has excellent transport links, including the St Andrews Bus Station which is a short ten minute walk from the resort. The bus station operates services to Leuchars, Dundee, Glasgow, and Edinburgh as well as Eastern Fife. Guests can also get the bus to and from the Old Course Hotel stance on the A91, just a two minute walk from the resort. You can plan your journeys to and from St Andrews on the Stage Coach website.
Regular domestic flights (1-hour flight time from London) and European services to Edinburgh Airport. Regular service from London Heathrow to Dundee Airport (20 minutes drive). Transatlantic flights land at Glasgow Airport. Private aircraft can land at Leuchars Airforce Base (5 minutes drive) by prior arrangement. Aircraft up to Boeing 737s can land here, and it is possible to have customs and immigration facilities.

The Duke’s Course is situated on a Scottish Estate five minutes from the Hotel, and there is a courtesy transfer for all resort residents. Transfer to other courses in St Andrews, the Kingdom of Fife and the rest of Scotland can also be arranged.
Once you are on the A91 from the south or A919 from Dundee, you will come to the village of Guardbridge, roughly 3 miles from St Andrews. After the village of Guardbridge, take the first road on the right – signposted Strathkinness/Craigtoun. Go through the village of Strathkinness; then continue straight ahead at the junction towards Craigtoun Country Park. At the next junction, turn left – signposted Craigtoun/The Duke’s. The Duke’s Course entrance is ½ mile along the road on the right side.
